Best Control Measure

  • Plough the fallow field in the winter season

  •  Plots that are cultivated early, may suffer more virus ddisease transmitted by leaf hopper

  • Avoid over dose application of Nitrogen fertilizer

  • Cultivate late maturing varieties with transplanting machine

  • Keep the abundance of predators (spider) in the field

Chemical Control

  • Apply approved systemic insecticides at recommended rate

  • Acephate granules -0.022-0.033 Kg/ ha

  • Acephate + Carbaryle granules

  • Carbofuran granules 0.45-0.6 Kg

  • Cholorodimeform granules 1.0- 1.5 Kg/ ha

  • Diazinon granules 1-1.5 kg

  • Disulfoton granules 0.1 Kg

  • Dichrotophos 0.3-0.5 Kg

  • Demeton-S-methyl 0.75 – 1.5 Kg

  • Endosulfan granules 1.0 Kg
