It is important that chickens sleep well during night time and daytime also.
If chickens sleep on the floor, direct contact from litters and other contaminants can cause infectious diseases and dissemination of parasites.
Sleeping on perches prevents chickens from pecking and fighting each other.
One-meter-long perch is sufficient to rest 5 adult chickens.
Perches should be made with rounded sticks that are not too big or too small.
Perches should be treated with engine oil or kerosene oil to keep away from parasites.
Perches should match the size of the chickens’ feet.
