Quality of fingerling
- Choose free from disease and injury fingerlings and healthy fingerlings.
- Choose same size of fingerlings.
- The size of fingerlings to be stocked should be 3-10 cm.
- The size of the stocked fingerling has an impact on the economic benefit. If the size of the stocked fingerling is large, the survival rate will be higher and larger fish will be harvested.
- Mono-sex culture with same size of fingerlings can faster the growth rate.
