Completely Harvesting

Growth rate depends on cultural system and feeding and 300-700 g weighted fish can get after 5-6 months of stocking. Thus, fish can be harvested completely at once.

Stop feeding the fish before 1-2 days of harvesting to improve water quality, fish quality and survival during handling.

Drain some pond water to reduce the stress on fish. Harvest in early morning or evening if the water temperature is lower.

Should be prepared the required all equipment for harvesting and ice needed for transportation.

The size of the seine should be suitable for the pond size.

The rope at the base of the net should be attached to something heavy. Heavy load weights should be attached on the food rope for effective harvesting.

It is necessary to reach the market on time to ensure the freshness of fish. If the buyer comes to buy at pond, they should be told in advance to arrive on time.
