Natural Fertilizers

Put large number of natural fertilizers such as cow manure, chicken / pig manure, plant wastes, paddy husk ash (RHA) in the plots as much as possible.

Weeds and cut straws should be mixed well with soil and prepare the tillage till the soil is smooth and ferment enough.

During land preparation time of nursery and the field plot, irrigate and maintain enough water in the plot to prevent nutrients loss from the organic fertilizers.

If the land plot is too much water logged with depleted soil texture and the history of iron toxicity on plants, apply RHA and Lime 4-6 Bags (25 Kg).

Rotate with pulses and beans crop after monsoon paddy, instead of double rice cropping to avoid soil depletion and causing iron toxicity (formation of reddish -short plants)
