Record Keeping

Record Keeping

  • Record keeping is important for all indigenous poultry producers.

  • The producers can systematically monitor their flock by keeping records.

  •  Items such as eating rate of the flock, growth rate, disease infestation, vaccination, mortality rate and losses by predators, behavior changes of the flock, daily expenses, and sales amount should be kept as records.

  • By keeping records, producers can easily review the strengths and weaknesses after each flock, and are able to change or improve their production practices for the long-term.
