Causal organism - Flexibacter Columnaris,
Disease caused condition - Higher water temperature, lower water quality, large number of fish in pond, expose to stress, etc.,
Clinical signs - White sports with dark red color margin will appear on head, gill, fin and body and gradually become lesions. The lesions on the gills will become larger and blister-like. The capillary will swell and become sores on the body.
Preventive measures - Vaccination, reducing water temperature, inclusion of competitive bacteria such as Citrobacter freundii and Aeromonas hydrophila.
Treatment – Soaking Copper Sulphate 40mg/L for 20 minutes or 50mg/L for 1-minute, Soaking Oxolinic acid 1 mg/L for 24 hours, ၊ Injection Sulphamerazine and Oxytetracycline injections at 220mg/kg/day for 10 days.
