Signs of inbreeding

Signs of inbreeding

• Some piglets are born with hernias (prolapsed intestines) growth slower among the litter, which may be a sign of inbreeding.

• Please consider to change the boar and sow with do not take piglet from litter that have high rate of intestinal collapse for breeding.

• If these changes come from other villages, the occurrence of this problem is very small.

• The quality and quantity of feed must be balanced to prevent the sow becoming too fat at the beginning or too thin during breathfeeding.

• Both of these conditions can cause reproductive problems.
