In the packaging the fingerlings -
Firstly, fill plastic bag with 20% clean water. Plastic bags with 70 cm long and 30-40 cm wide are used.
Put the fingerling into plastic after weighing and counting the number of fingerlings, and then release the natural air from the bag.
Then, plastic bag is filled 80% oxygen and tie with rubber band tightly.
The number of fingerlings per bag depends on the distance to be transported, size of the fingerlings and water temperature.
Fingerlings can be added more if the transportation is short and water temperature is low.
At a water temperature of 25°C, 10,000-15,000 fingerlings can be carried for more than 20 hours of transportation.
1.5 cm fingerlings can be added up to the number of 3500 – 5000 per bag and 3 cm fingerlings can be added up to the number of 1500 – 2000 per bag.
In transportation of fingerlings -
Avoid transporting of fingerling at high temperature in order to reduce stress on fish. Fingerling should be transported in the morning or late evening, particularly during summer.
