Site Selection
- Tilapia fish can be usually raised in natural waterlogged areas and constructed ponds with sufficient water and nutrients, but standard ponds are needed for high yield.
- Clay soil is the best to build a fish pond.
- Loamy soil is not suitable for raising fish since it can affect on fish quality and taste.
- Choose a place where near a water source and must be away from chemical waste.
- Must be a place with well exposed to sunlight and wind.
- It should be an easy place where inputs and fish can easily be transported.
