• Pangasius, scientifically known as Pangasius hypophthalamus (Sauvage 1878), belongs to the Pangasiidae family. It is a species of fish that lives and migrates from one area to another in countries in the Asian region, especially along the Mekong River in Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, and Vietnam.
• Pangasius is a type of fish that farmers culture in ponds and cages due to a omnivorous species, grows fast, resistant to disease, and survive in conditions with low dissolved oxygen levels in the water.
• Studies have shown that from October to February, pangasius migrate upstream to the upper Mekong River and then return downstream to the lower Mekong River from May to September each year.
