Type of fertilizers for natural feed

Types of natural fertilizers that are available in the village or each family has in their home to be added so the fish pond has natural feed as an important feed for fish, especially planktons, before the stocking fish.

The amount of natural fertilizer that must be apply into the pond according to the technique and method of using natural fertilizer to achieve good results that have following types of animal manure and plant which are important for adding to in fish ponds.

The amount of natural fertilizer used for pond preparation before stocking fish includes:

• Cattle manure 60-80 kg/100 m2
• Or Wet pig manure 20-35 kg/100 m2
• Or wet poultry manure 10-15 kg/100 m2
• Or green fertilizer (Siam weed...) 20-30 kg/100 m2

Note

• Regular adding of fertilizer to keep the pond water green is a very important factor in helping the fish grow well.
• Avoid using over amounts of natural fertilizers, which can cause bad water quality, toxic, and kill fish.
