General feed management

General feed management

Growth rate depends on the quality of feed and the amount of pig feeding.

Leftover or dirty feed will reduce the pig feed intake

Pigs prefer to feed clean, fresh, and flavorful feed than dirty, moldy, or sour feed.

With good feed, Pigs will feed all the food from the trough every day. Leftover feed should be avoided as much as possible.

The above feed can be applied especially to farmers who raise exotic breeds, have good quality feed, and well managed.

Generally, we can feed 3 percent of weight per day per pig.

High temperatures and humidity reduce feeding amount and growth rate of pigs.

Good quality feed, effective disease control, and a clean environment (pig cage) will improve pig growth.
