ជម្ងឺបង្កដោយប្រូតូសូអាទ្រីកូឌីណាយស៊ីស (Trichodiniasis)

Causal organism - Trichodina 

Can occur in any season if the water quality is poor. 

Clinical signs - Can damage the gill tissue if disease infection is severe. Only cartilage remain, which can effect on breathing and lead to death.

 

Preventive and Control measures - Soaking for about 2-5 minutes with 2-3% of salt water for 3-4 days; or soak in 100-200 ppm Formalin + 10 ppm Acriflavin for about 1 hour for three days; or soak in 8 ppm coppersulphate solution for 20-30 minutes.
