White discharge from the genitals indicates that the uterus has an infection.
Warm nipples and lumps indicate that the nipples are infected (mastitis).
The Sow that is lying down and not breastfeed piglets indicates that the teats have problems, milk blockage, or pain because the piglet teeth have not been cut.
The sow lacking energy and/or fever indicates that the sow is not healthy, that why not caring for the piglets. Check the temperature.
The sow not feeding may indicate that there is too much feed or not enough water to drink, not healthy.
A thin piglet with a scaly belly indicates a lack of milk. However, if it is brushed clean and white or pale, the piglet may have an iron deficiency.
A piglet that is not quiet and close to its mother indicates that the piglet is not getting enough milk.
Many piglets lying on top of each other indicates that the piglets are too cold and lying close to sow, or not getting enough milk, or the mother is not getting enough milk.
Piglets huddled together indicate that they are cold and unhappy.
Cracked wound skin on the face and knees indicates that the piglets are biting each other while feeding due to not getting enough milk. If the piglets only have cracks wound on knees, means that the cage floor is too rough.
The piglet skin is yellow, which is due to the sow milk giving the piglets too much milk. However, if it turns white or red, it may be caused by bacteria, so needs to treated with antibiotics.
A sow who does not defecate or has hard, round stool indicates that the sow has a bowel obstruction and this can make the sow uncomfortable and cause of milk problems.
