Caring in The Nursery

Do not water/ irrigate the nursery bed, as long as there is enough moisture.

Keeping the nursery dry, allows the roots to get good air, that promote roots development and the seedlings become short and strong.

Do not apply chemical fertilizers in the nursery bed because the seedlings take nutrients from the endosperm till 14 days age and not taking nutrients from soil.

Apply Furadan 3G pesticide on seed bed as per recommended rate if there is occurrence of stem borers

Transplant at 15-20 days age of the seedlings 

For easy removal of seedlings from soil, irrigate water to submerge nursery beds about 3 days ahead depending on the soil condition.
