Monitoring and recording on in-pig
• The soe can mate again every 21 days.
• The sow will not find another male once it is pregnant.
• Mating twice, 8-10 hours apart for gilt and 12 hours apart for older sows, will increase the sow chances of getting pregnant and having more piglets.
• If the sow is not pregnant, they will seek for mating with boar again in 3 weeks (21 days) after mating.
• Therefore, check the sow again after 18-24 days of mating, and then check again 6 weeks (42 days) after mating to make sure all sows are pregnant.
