Natural breeding

• When gilt are 5-6 months age, they begin to seek for boar for the first time.

• Younger gilt are not suitable for breeding because their reproductive organs are not yet well developed.

• Gilt must be bred when they are 7-8 months age and sired for second and third time.

• The average gestation period is 21 days, and this cycle repeats when the sow does not mate successfully.
