Stages for observing mating

First

By observing signs of mating (not being quiet and mate other pigs, not eating much, being aggressive), genitals turning red, dark pink, and having sperm).

Back pressure (the sow remains still) is used (or the other side of the back) to determine the correct breeding time.

Second

By bringing the boar closer to the sow, the sow will show clear signs of seeking for mate.

This should be done directly after feeding in the morning and evening.

The start of the sow mating season depends on the breeds.

Domestic sow (local breeds) are bred at the age of 3-4 months, weight 45-50 kg.

As exotic breeds, mating are found at the age of 6-7 months, weight 60-70 kg.
