Introduction on culture Pangasius

Pangasius is a fish species that is popular among farmers because of omnivorous species, grows fast, resistant to disease, can survive in conditions with low dissolved oxygen levels in water, can produce fingerling at farm level, and has high market demand.

However, pangasius farming still faces many problems, losses or low profits due to several factors such as pond preparation, quality of fingerling, broodstock, and feed composition, feeding, nursery, management and harvesting methods, etc.

To increase the productivity of pangasius farming, farmers need to improve some farming methods: choosing a suitable location, preparing the pond properly, and selecting good fish from a reliable source provide adequate and proper feed according to technical and sanitary standards, and properly manage and nursery fish, especially disease prevention and treatment in accordance with safety standards.
