Common Biosecurity Measures
  • Location of chicken house: Avoid locations close to other existing chicken farms. Be attentive of wind directions for the building construction, to minimize the risk of air-born infection.

  • All-in-all-out: To reduce the multiplication of disease-causing agents inside the chicken house, all stock of chicken must be sold at one time, without keeping any remain chicken.

  • Disposal of wastes: Remove all wastes immediately, dispose properly and disinfect.

  • Site security: Minimize possible entry of infectious agent through moving between houses and flocks, equipment and other objects.
