• General check of the pig entire body: head, ears, nose, breathing, feet, mouth... to see if it has any marks or not?

• Measure the pig temperature suspected of being sick, and this should be done in the morning. The normal temperature is 38-39 degrees Celsius.

• Check the pig gait, breathing, and skin if have redness or rash.

• Look at the condition of the pigs in the entire cage, how many are sick or suspected of being sick? Are there any sick or dead pigs from neighbor in village? How many died?

• Check the feeding activities, is the stool normal or is it bloody? What color? Are they clutch or not?
