Growth-rate

- Pangasius grow fairly well.

- When young, fish grow rapidly in body length.

- The fish nursery in pond for 2 months, length of 10 to 12 cm and weigh between 14 and 15 grams.

- When fish weighs 2.5 kilograms or more, the weight gain is faster than the growth in body length.

- One-year-old fish raised in ponds weigh between 1-1.5 kg/head (first year), but the following year the fish will gain weight rapidly, reaching 5-6 kg/year, depending on the water environment of the habitate and the quality of the feed, which has a high or low protein level (Nguyễn Văn Kiểm, 2004).
